When Robyn walked into Lola Grace Bridal with her mom, mother-in-law, sister and best friend back in May 2018 you could feel that they were going to be a fun group to work with. Robyn told us a little about her beautiful wedding vision, her fiance and and her style and we got to work. She and her family fell in love with a brand new Australian designed gown by Stella York. It is a luxurious crepe and french lace inspired sheath gown adorned with beaded straps and shimmering sequins on the bodice. Deep side cut outs are highlighted by lattice beaded sheer panels and, last but not least, a showstopping laser cut lace train. This dress is exquisite and Robyn look absolutely beautiful in it.
The couples wedding vision included a travel theme in an intimate setting on a private residence. With beautiful lighting, dramatic tents, fireworks, soft florals and the cutest "Best Dog" ever, we had a tough time choosing only a few of their photos. Keep reading to learn a little more about Robyn, the newlywed's love story, her wedding tips, some of her favorite wedding moments, and of course, the beautiful wedding photos.
A big thank you to Robyn for sharing her story with us to help our brides plan their big day! Thank you, Robyn! And Congratulations to you and James! We wish you a lifetime of love and joy!

We met almost 10 years ago lifeguarding here on Daytona Beach! We became friends first and then started dating a year later. Fast forward 6 years, and we went on a skiing trip in December 2016 to Breckinridge. He completely surprised me with a proposal in the snow in front of some beautiful lighted fir trees! Our friends and siblings were in on helping with the surprise and it was really special to share the moment with them.
How did you know he was the one? I knew James was the one when “home” went from a place to a person, when he became the first person I wanted to tell good news and bad news to, and when he became the first person I wanted to share any good news or bad news with.
What surprised you most about the wedding planning process? How much work was truly involved and all the small details I didn’t even think about! How did you know your dress was the one? I knew my dress was the one when every other dress I put on just couldn’t compare to it. I kept thinking about my dress and how it “beat” the other dresses in every aspect. What advice would you give to newly engaged brides planning their wedding? Sometimes less is more! You won’t remember all the little details and they end up not being important at the end of the day. And definitely at least get a day coordinator, best thing I ever did was have a day coordinator. She made the day so seamless!
What was your favorite detail or moment during your wedding or reception?
The first look. It was so intimate and special. I’m so glad we had those 20 or so minutes to ourselves to talk and say personal vows. It was a great way to take a break from the busy day and also to calm our nerves before the ceremony!
What did you plan for your reception exit (sparklers, confetti, seed, bubbles, etc)? We skipped it since we had no curfew to exit the venue as it was at our family’s house!
Did you plan a honeymoon? We went to Japan! We kind of just winged it when we got there because that’s the nature of my flight attendant job and our personalities. It was a very spontaneous trip and we had a lot of fun traveling from Osaka, to Kyoto, and then to Tokyo.
Is there anyone you would like us to thank on your behalf in our blog? Such as a friend, relative or vendor that saved the day or put in long hours making wedding favors or planning showers. I am so thankful for everyone who helped make the day so perfect but I would like to give extra special thanks to my brother for stepping in and filling some pretty big shoes by walking me down the aisle and having my first dance with me in memory of our Dad. It was a really special moment to share with my brother forever and I am so grateful to him.
